In April, the Adventures In Fishing production team produced an excellent King Mackerel show off Jupiter, FL with Capt. Joe Mazzarella of Bee Fishing Charters. Viewers will learn how to catch live bait and then see one King Mackerel after another being caught. Once the bite started it did not stop. The filming continued until it became dark. Capt. Joe fished with his friend, Ed and Ed's son, Josh and Jean Eastman, a local artist from Ft. Lauderdale. Capt. Joe is one of the best charter captians in South Florida.
The Hampton's Offshore Invitational Tournament in Hampton Bays, NY was filmed in 2008. The anglers caught everything from Blue Marlin, Mako Sharks, Tuna, Mahi-mahi, and Bluefish. More importantly, the tournament raised over $75,000 for Big Brothers Big Sister of Long Island. Capt. Scott Horowitz and the SMTC have to be commended for the outstanding job they do with this tournament.
The Adventures In Fishing production team filmed The Contender Regulator Shootout at the Montauk Yacht Club sponsored by White Water Marine and Suffolk Marine. This is a well organized tournament with great tournament anglers on Contender Boats and Regulator Boats. The big fish that were caught included a 208 lb Bluefin Tuna and a 207.5 lb Mako. Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke and Mahi-Mahi were also weighed in. Tune in to see if Contender Boats held on to their Overall Champion Title.
Adventures In Fishing recently filmed a great captain doing a great service. His name is Capt. Kip Johannesen. Capt. Kip takes out disabled veterans, disabled adults and disabled children fishing aboard his 34' Mainship "Valhalla". And guess what...he takes them out for FREE. Capt. Ray and his cameraman, Al Milian, were very impressed with Capt. Kip and his volunteer mates, Christine and Terry and we know our viewers will be also.
Another episode was produced during The Annual Larry's Lighthouse Marina Fluke Tournament in Aquebogue, NY. The tournament had 21 boats and the anglers caught loads of fluke. Team Principesa won the tournament with a monster of a fluke weighing in at over 11 lbs. The tournament has an Adult Division and Junior Division. It is a excellent tournament.
The Adventures In Fishing Production Team recently filmed The 12th Annual Riverhead Moose Fluke Tournament in Riverhead, NY. The show features Chris Nappe of Team Nap-Time winning the tournament with an 8 lb 3 oz Fluke. This year, the tournament raised Three Thousand ($3000.00) dollars for the Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center which assists abused children
Another episode was produced during The Annual Molnar's Landing Early Fluke Shootout out of Molnar's Landing in Hampton Bays. Lanny Molnar always has a great tournament with loads of fluke being caught.
Adventures In Fishing recently produced an episode on board Bee Fishing Charters with Capt. Joe Mazzarella. Capt. Joe left Boynton Beach, FL in his 32' Donzi Center Console and ran over to the Bahamas using his radar to locate birds and feeding skipjack tuna. The action was fantastic. We know you will love this episode.
A fanstastic snook, bass and catfish show was filmed out of Riverbend Park on the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter, Florida. The show will be interesting because it was filmed in a canoe with Tony Crease using only a trolling motor and live minnows for bait.
The production team also traveled to the Florida Keys and filmed an episode at Bud N Mary's Marina in Islamorada. The show will feature Capt. Nick Stanczyk catching sailfish, king mackerel and yellowtail snapper. Capt. Nick was filmed for another episode of Adventures In Fishing fishing with his father, Capt. Richard Stanczyk when he was 10 years old. Capt. Nick is now 20 years old, has his own charter boat and attends the University of Miami.
The production team traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and produced a fantastic show on board, El Budster, with Jim Dillon, Capt. Salvador O'campo and First Mate Manuel Jiminez. During the filming a Striped Marlin, two Rooster Fish and a Yellowtail were caught. It should also be noted that Jim caught a world record 90 lb. Dorado last year! The El Budster is the boat to book when fishing in Cabo San Lucas!
Adventures In Fishing produced an excellent show out The Bear Track Inn in Gustavus, Alaska with Capt. Josh Cosby of Black Rock Charters. Capt. Ray,
Chris Kelly, Mark Wascher and Tanya Tate caught giant Halibut in the 100-175 lb range. The next day, the group caught rockfish in all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, the fishing is unbelievable in Alaska. All anglers have to experience Alaska fishing at least once in their lifetime.
Scheduled Filmings
The production team will be producing 3 episodes with Capt. Joe Mazzerella of Bee Fishing Charters while he does some Island Hopping in the Bahamas. The Annual Molnar's Landing Fluke Shootouts and The KISS Shark Tournament out of Molnar's Landing in Hampton Bays, NY with Lanny Molnar will also be filmed. Other tournaments that will be filmed are The Annual Riverhead Moose Fluke Tournament, The Hampton's Invitational Tournament in Hampton Bays, NY, The Annual Riverhead Snapper Tournament in Riverhead, NY, The Frank Ricciardo Memorial Tournament in Orient, NY and The Contender Regulator Shootout in Montauk, NY.

BIG SNAPPERS CAUGHT DURING RIVERHEAD SNAPPER TOURNAMENT
(Riverhead, NY- Sept 28, 2008)- Big Snappers Caught During Riverhead Snapper Tournament
Although The 11th Annual Riverhead Snapper Tournament had to be postponed from Saturday to Sunday due to severe rains, the tournament was a success. Big snappers were caught during this year's event. The event is held along the Town's beautiful Peconic Riverfront. The Snapper Tournament focuses on getting children involved in fishing. There is an Adullt Division and a Junior Division. The Riverhead Recreation Department's Summer Scholarship Program benefits from the tournament. The tournament promotes Catch & Release so most of the snappers that were caught were released. Tournament Director, Capt. Ray Kelly said "This year's tournament was a success. The snappers were in the river and they were big. Thank you to all the parents and adults who bring the children. Thank you to all the businesses that donate money and raffle prizes for the Chinese Auction which follows the tournament." Free hot dogs and soda are provided to the participants thanks to the generosity of the businesses.
Last year's winner, Christine Gigante, age 11, was the first angler to measure in a snapper. The lead kept changing during the tournament in the Junior Division which was very exciting. Luanne Nappe of Aquebogue measured in a 10 inch snapper which retained First Place in the Adult Division throughout the tournament.
